Blogging Journey

Hello, Friends!

If you are on this page, then you already know that I’m a blogger (along with coach for Christian women, Professional Organizer and own my own HR Consulting Company).  What you may not know is that I have been blogging for years.  Prior to Woman of Noble Character, I owned a business in the art and scrapbooking field and blogged, very successfully, with that business for almost four years.  I stepped away from that industry for several reasons, but it was the blogging part of the business that I most enjoyed.  Over the course of the four years, I built my own website and blog and grew my daily page views from a handful to a day to thousands per day.  I walked away from a subscriber list of nearly 10,000.  I was also earning money from affiliates, as well.  (not much, I’ll admit).

I have not taken any courses on blogging or building my website, but, rather, learned as I went by reading, watching videos and following successful bloggers.

My Blogging Journey

Now that I’m blogging again (and loving it, again!), I’ve decided to take you on my blogging journey. Why?  Several of my readers have reached out and asked me questions ranging from “How do I start a blog?” to “how do I make money from blogging?”.  I don’t profess to be an expert in these areas but perhaps by learning from my mistakes and what has worked for me, you may be inspired to start blogging or growing your existing blog.

I plan to blog about blogging :), a few times per month and will include topics such as:

  • Comparing blog platforms
  • Best tools for blogging
  • Must-Have Plugins
  • Getting Started with Affiliate Sales
  • Where to Share Your Blog Posts
  • Gaining readers and subscribers
  • and much more.

As we go, I’ll share what I’m doing and how my blog is growing (including daily/monthly views and income from blogging). Since this blog is fairly new (less than six months as of this writing), it’s a great time to share this blogging journey with you.  As a Christian, my focus will be remaining true to God’s Word as I share my heart for Him through my blog.
