Dressing for success (no matter your definition of success) starts with your first layer of clothing – your panties and bra.  Don’t you feel more put together when your bra and panties match or at least aren’t riddled with holes?  I know I do. While a shopping trip to Victoria’s Secret may not be in your (or my) near future, there are a few small steps that you can take toward easily finding that perfect pair of panties when getting dressed each day.

Organizing Your Undergarments:  Panties

The first step in any organizing project is to purge or declutter.  Grab that drawer of unmentionables (really, why are they called unmentionables? Everyone – almost – wears them!) and dump it out on your bed.  Go through each pair and throw away those pairs that are torn or ripped beyond recognition.  It’s ok to keep a few pairs for that time of the month, if it makes you feel better.

Next, sort the panties by type if you have more than one type (boy shorts, thongs, bikini, high rise, etc.) and fold them. I like to fold mine in threes as they stack neater and save room.  Here’s a quick tutorial on how to do that.

If you are storing your panties in a drawer, use a short basket, with dividers, if possible (you can make your own dividers by cutting old shoe boxes). Lay each type in it’s own section and, if you are an overachiever, you can label each section.  If you prefer, you can further sort them by color.  I like to keep light and dark colored panties separate to make getting dressed simpler and quicker (face it, you don’t want to wear black panties under white or tan pants!).

Organizing Your Undergarments:  Bras

As with panties (and any organization project), you need to start by removing items that don’t belong.  Remove all of your bras from the drawer (or basket or where ever you store them) and discard any tattered and torn bras.  While you may love that lacy beauty that you have had for years, but if the underwire is burrowing under your skin and requires bandages whenever you wear it, it’s time to let it go).

Next, sort the bras by type and color (strapless vs regular and black vs white, etc.) and fold.  Place into your nice, newly divided drawer. Label, if desired.

Get dressed without digging for that perfect pair of panties and have an amazing day!

Until Next Time,

Sue
